Chris started Measured Air for a reason that hits close to home. His wife has asthma, they are raising a toddler in Salt Lake City, and the air in the valley has a way of making itself felt indoors. He spent years watching the inversion settle in each winter and the smoke roll in each summer, and getting the same two answers: don't worry about it, or buy this gadget. Neither one told him what was actually in his air, so he set out to measure it properly.
He comes at air quality from an unusual direction. Chris studied computer science at Westminster University, where he graduated summa cum laude, then co-founded Niftic, a brand and product studio that builds for some of the biggest climate and mission-driven companies in the world. As its Director of Engineering, and leading engineering at the donation platform FundHero and the experimentation platform Oboe, he spends his days turning messy data into decisions people can trust. Measured Air points that same skill at your home or building, with monitoring and plain-language reports that make an invisible problem visible enough to act on.
After years in Washington, DC, he moved his family back to Salt Lake because this is home, and because the air here is worth the work. He believes in mindful computing, technology that quietly makes life better instead of competing for your attention, and he thinks your air should work the same way. He would rather you measure it once, understand it, and get back to your life.
